General Warfield’s Swiss Water® Decaf – A Bold, Smooth, and Guilt-Free Indulgence
Decaf should never mean sacrificing flavor, and with General Warfield’s 100% Arabica Swiss Water® Seasonal Decaf Coffee, you don’t have to. Handpicked at very high-altitudes, responsibly sourced coffee beans from globaly established cooperative farms, yielding coffee that is considered premiere specialty grade, this low-acid, small-batch roast delivers an uncompromisingly rich and satisfying coffee experience—minus the caffeine.
A Masterfully Roasted, Seasonal Blend
From Central America’s most renowned high-altitude estates, our seasonal decaf blend is curated to capture peak freshness and full-bodied complexity. The beans are carefully roasted to a full city + (medium-dark) profile, balancing depth and vibrancy in every sip. With enticing taste notes of molasses, caramel, and spice, this roast offers a velvety-smooth mouthfeel and a naturally sweet finish—making it the best Swiss Water® decaf coffee for true coffee connoisseurs.
A Chemical-Free, Swiss Water® Decaffeination Process
Unlike traditional decaf methods that rely on solvents, we use the Swiss Water® Process, a 100% chemical-free decaffeination technique that preserves the rich, full-bodied flavors and delicate aroma of our specialty coffee. This method removes caffeine while ensuring that the nuanced tasting notes and origin characteristics remain intact.
Small-Batch Roasted for Maximum Freshness
At General Warfield’s Coffee, we believe in quality over quantity. Each batch of our Swiss Water® Decaf is artisan-roasted in small batches, ensuring consistency and peak flavor development. With meticulous attention to detail, we create a smooth, well-balanced, and low-acid decaf coffee that stands out from the rest.

1. Water: Elevate your coffee experience by using bottled or filtered water with some mineral content, accentuating the roast's nuanced flavors.
2. Water Temperature: Achieve the perfect brewing temperature by heating water to a range of 195°F to 205°F (90°C to 96°C). This temperature range is optimal for extracting the rich flavors from our medium to medium-dark roasts.
3. Pre-Wet Filter: Enhance the purity of your brew by pre-wetting the filter. Simply pour a small amount of hot water over the filter to eliminate any paper taste, pour water out and warm your brewer for an even better extraction.
4. Grind using a burr grinder (burr grinder recommended): The grind size greatly matters for each brewing method:
- For pour-over enthusiasts, use a medium-coarse grind to ensure a steady and flavorful extraction.
- If you prefer the convenience of a drip machine, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the best results.
- For other brewing methods, such as French press or Aeropress, adjust the grind size accordingly to match the equipment's recommendations.
5. Brew: For pour-over aficionados, maintain a steady pour, evenly saturating the grounds for a consistent and balanced flavor profile. If you're using a drip machine, simply follow its instructions for brewing. When using alternative methods, refer to suggested techniques for a customized brewing experience.
